The time has come to start a new quilt project that I’ll call Squares and Squares. It’ll feature the simple square because it’ll be a beginner-friendly quilt and I’ll start from square one learning to edit videos for my YouTube channel. Imagine something simple, yet interesting, hopefully.

Choosing the simple square as the featured choice in this quilt allows me the opportunity to spend my energy on learning how to create edited videos for my channel instead of simple recordings. Up until this quilt, I’ve simply hit record and uploaded my videos.

Now, I’ll edit them so that I can incorporate useful photos, captions, and additional footage they call B-roll. I’m learning new skills!

I created a Playlist called Squares and Squares for this project. Take a look at the first video. I even started experimenting with thumbnails for my videos.

This beginner quilt starts where a lot of us go first… into the fabric store. We browse fabric shops and become recipients of fabric from well-meaning friends and family before we even know how to sew!
